Lesson from the Acts of Apostles
Acts 8:5-8
In diébus illis: Philíppus descéndens in civitátem Samaríæ, prædicábat illis Christum. Intendébant autem turbæ his, quæ a Philíppo dicebántur, unanímiter audiéntes et vidéntes signa, quæ faciébat. Multi enim eórum, qui habébant spíritus immúndos, clamántes voce magna, exíbant. Multi autem paralýtici et claudi curáti sunt. Factum est ergo gáudium magnum in illa civitáte.
In those days, Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached the Christ to them. And the crowds with one accord gave heed to what was said by Philip, listening to him and seeing the miracles that he worked. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, went out of many possessed persons, and many paralytics and cripples were cured. So there was great joy in that city.

In illo témpore: Convocátis Jesus duódecim Apóstolis, dedit illis virtútem et potestátem super ómnia dæmónia, et ut languóres curárent. Et misit illos prædicáre regnum Dei et sanáre infírmos. Et ait ad illos: Nihil tuléritis in via, neque virgam, neque peram, neque panem, neque pecúniam, neque duas túnicas habeátis. Et in quamcúmque domum intravéritis, ibi manéte et inde ne exeátis. Et quicúmque non recéperint vos: exeúntes de civitáte illa, étiam púlverem pedum vestrórum excútite in testimónium supra illos. Egréssi autem circuíbant per castélla, evangelizántes et curántes ubíque.
At that time, having summoned the twelve apostles, Jesus gave them power and authority over all the devils, and to cure diseases. And He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said to them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor wallet, nor bread, nor money; neither have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and do not depart from thence. And whosoever will not receive you - go forth from that town, and shake off even the dust from your feet for a witness against them. And going forth, they went about from village to village, preaching the gospel and working cures everywhere.

Confirm, O God, what You have wrought in us; from Your temple, which is in Jerusalem, kings shall offer gifts to You. Alleluia.

Múnera, quǽsumus, Dómine, oblata sanctífica: et corda nostra Sancti Spíritus illustratióne emúnda.
Sanctify these offerings, we beseech You, O Lord, and cleanse our hearts by the light of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:2 2:4
Factus est repénte de cœlo sonus tamquam adveniéntis spíritus veheméntis, ubi erant sedéntes, allelúja: et repléti sunt omnes Spíritu Sancto, loquéntes magnália Dei, allelúja, allelúja.

Postcommunion
Sancti Spíritus, Dómine, corda nostra mundet infúsio: et sui roris íntima aspersióne fecúndet.
May the inpouring of the Holy Spirit cleanse our hearts, O Lord, and make them fertile through the dew He sprinkles upon them.
