- Prepare the strudel dough and leave to rest.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Wash the plums, remove the stones and cut into quarters lengthways.
- Fry the breadcrumbs in a pan over a medium heat with the butter.
- Mix the sugar, cinnamon and roasted breadcrumbs with the plums.
- Roll out the strudel dough on a lightly floured tea towel. Spread a little melted butter on top and add the filling. Now drizzle the straw 80 over the filling.
- Carefully roll up the strudel using the tea towel.
- Position the strudel on a baking tray with the seam facing downwards and brush with the remaining butter.
- Bake at 180°C top/bottom heat for approx. 40 minutes.
- Leave to cool for at least 20 minutes before eating.
- Optionally serve with vanilla sauce or simply sprinkle with icing sugar.
