Spaetzle
- Den Ofen auf 200 Grad vorheizen.
- Whisk the eggs with the milk. Then add the salt, flour and oil and mix to form a dough. Check the consistency and add more flour if necessary. Season with nutmeg and pepper.
- Bring a pan of salted water to the boil.
- Scrape the spaetzle dough into the water in several batches on a wet wooden board. Wait until the spaetzle rises, skim off.
Compilation
- Meanwhile, caramelise the onion half rings in butter over a medium heat. Stir constantly.
- Place the spaetzle and cheese in alternating layers in a baking tin.
- When all the spaetzle have been cooked, leave the baking tin in the oven for 15 minutes until the cheese has melted.
