Swiss elbow macaroni with minced beef

Unorthodox with cream but a classic from the Gempen childhood.

2-3 portions as a main course

Ingredients

Onion
300 g
Minced meat, beef
250 mL
Cream
1 tsp
Starch
1/2 tsp
Sweet paprika
1 pinch
Paprika, smoked
100 mL
200 g
Elbow macaroni
Butter
Oil
Salt
Pepper

Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Fry the mince in oil until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper. Move to the edge of the pan.
  2. Finely chop the onion and fry in butter until brown.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the elbow macaroni.
  4. Add the cream a little at a time. Mix some of the cream with the starch and add if you want a thicker sauce. Season with paprika and bring to the boil. Add the stock to thin it down a little.
  5. Strain the elbow macaroni when ready and mix in.
  6. Serve with plenty of grated Parmesan cheese and some applesauce.
