Tikka Paneer

An Indian grilled cheese with a slightly spicy marinade.

Paneer
3 tbsp
50 g
Yoghurt

Garlic cloves
21/2 cm
Ginger, grated
1 tbsp
Lemon juice
1/2 tbsp
Oil
1 tsp
Salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the paneer into ~2 cm cubes.
  2. Press the garlic and grate the ginger and mix all the ingredients well.
  3. Cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
  4. It is best to grill the cheese. Alternatively, you can also bake it in the oven.
  5. To do this, preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Spread the panir on a baking tray at a distance from each other.
  6. Bake until lightly toasted as shown in the picture.
  7. Serve as a side dish with other grilled food. Alternatively, serve as a main course with lemon juice, a sauce such as cucumber raita and naan.
