- Prepare a bowl of cold water. Peel the potatoes and cut into long fries about 1 cm thick.
- Meanwhile, bring a pan of water with plenty of salt and the baking powder to the boil. The baking powder helps to create a crispy surface.
- Boil the potatoes in it for about 10 minutes. Then strain and leave to evaporate.
- Turn on a baking tray in plenty of peanut oil. Make sure there is always some space between the fries.
- Bake for approx. 3⁄4 hour at 200°C fan oven until golden brown. Turn the fries from time to time so that all sides are crispy.
- Place the chips in a bowl lined with kitchen paper and season with salt. Then soak up as much oil as possible from the chips by turning them over on the kitchen paper. Good as a side dish with meat.
