- Finely grind the spices in a mortar.
- Mix together with the honey, butter and sugar in a pan until the sugar has completely liquefied. Then leave to cool thoroughly.
- Mix with the egg in a large bowl. Then add the flour and baking powder and mix until a homogeneous mixture is formed. The batter should still be surprisingly runny.
- Cut in half and chill in cling film for at least 2 hours.
- Roll out to a thickness of 5 mm and cut out figures.
- Bake at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 7 minutes and then leave to cool.
- For the icing, weigh the egg whites, beat and then mix with the appropriate amount of icing sugar (50 g sugar / 10 g egg white).
- Pour into a piping bag and decorate the biscuits as desired.
