Butter

Vanilla sugar

Salt
50 g
Icing sugar
210 g
Flour
75 g
Walnuts, ground

Vanilla sugar

12 min at 180 °C Top/bottom heat

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter with the vanilla sugar, salt and icing sugar until well combined.
  2. Add the flour and nuts and mix into a cohesive mass. Do not knead.
  3. Leave the dough to rest for approx. 10 minutes.
  4. Divide into four and roll out into approx. 1.5 cm thick rolls. Divide into 5-6 cm long pieces and taper the ends. Shape into a crescent and place on a baking tray.
  5. Chill for approx. 15 minutes so that the croissants keep their shape in the oven.
  6. Bake at 180°C top/bottom heat on the middle shelf for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Roll the croissants in the icing sugar/vanilla sugar mixture
