St. Camillus de Lellis, Confessor

Class III White after Pentecost

Mass propers

Introit (Jn 15:13)
Majórem hac dilectiónem nemo habet, ut ánimam suam ponat quis pro amícis suis.
Greater love than this no one has, that one lay down his life for his friends.
Beátus, qui intéllegit super egénum et páuperem: in dic mala liberábit eum Dóminus.
Happy is he who has regard for the lowly and the poor; in the day of misfortune the Lord will deliver him.
Majórem hac dilectiónem nemo habet, ut ánimam suam ponat quis pro amícis suis.
Greater love than this no one has, that one lay down his life for his friends.
Collect
Deus, qui sanctum Camíllum, ad animárum in extrémo agóne luctántium subsídium, singulári caritátis prærogatíva decorásti: ejus, quǽsumus, méritis, spíritum nobis tuæ dilectiónis infúnde; ut in hora éxitus nostri hostem víncere, et ad cœléstem mereámur corónam perveníre.
O God, Who endowed St. Camillus with a special gift of charity for the help of souls struggling in their final agony, pour upon us, we beseech You, by his merits, the spirit of Your love, so that in the hour of our death we may be found worthy to overcome the enemy and attain the heavenly crown.
Secret
Hóstia immaculáta, qua illud Dómini nostri Jesu Christi imménsæ caritátis opus renovámus, sit, Deus Pater omnípotens, sancto Gamíllo intercedénte, contra omnes córporis et animæ infirmitates salutáre remedium, et in extrémo agóne solátium et tutéla.
Through the prayers of St. Camillus may this spotless sacrificial offering, by which we renew the work of our Lord Jesus Christ’s infinite charity, be a healing remedy against all infirmities of body and soul and a consolation and protection in our last agony.
Communion (Mt 25:36; 25:40)
Infírmus fui, et visitástis me. Amen, amen, dico vobis: Quámdiu fecístis uni ex his frátribus meis minimis, mihi fecístis.
I was sick and you visited Me: Amen, amen, I say to you, as long as you did it for one of these the least of My brethren, you did it for Me.
Postcommunion
Per hæc cœléstia aliménta, quæ, sancti Camílli Confessóris tui sollémnia celebrántes, pia devotióne suscépimus: da, quǽsumus. Dómine; ut, in hora mortis nostræ sacraméntis refécti et culpis ómnibus expiáti, in sinum misericórdiæ tuæ læti súscipi mereámur:
Through this heavenly food which we have received with holy devotion as we celebrate the feast of St. Camillus, Your Confessor, grant, we beseech You, O Lord, that in the hour of our death, strengthened by Your sacraments and absolved of all our sins, we may be found worthy to be taken up, rejoicing, into the bosom of Your mercy.
Ad maiorem Dei gloriam
